Unfortunately, an exchange of meals appears to be what most families prefer to start with, but at least we are now more knowledgeable of the resources available from most of them.

Who is it that we've feeding arrangements with, thus far?

An open feeding arrangement with Ichibei has been set, with their resource an option as well should you feel such a thirst. After that introductory meal with Aristophanes, I have high hopes that we will settle on a positive arrangement for their resource.

Uruk, I believe, has no interest in an exchange of meals, but purely our information for access to their baths and bathing supplies.

They seem the sort to drive a hard bargain.

Yes, I rather suspect that they would not deal with us if they needn't have to.

Any words on what caused the rift, such as it is?

Or are they suspicious by nature?

By nature.

One accused me of lying, I was quite hurt by the suspicion.

Just as well. I'd as soon avoid them, and it seems they share the sentiment.

There is at least that to hold in common.

With our other arrangements, we needn't keep company with them for anything but pure business.

And of the others, they have a poor sort of resource to smooth away harsh words.

We've water enough.

We might manage the washing up without them, should it come to that.

Mm, that is true enough. We could certainly survive without that trade route.

Not ideal, to be certain.

But there's other things that might be of more interest.

Which families caught your attention, if I may ask?

In terms of supplies? Of the three we know, I would think Aristophanes has the most valuable.

Ching Shih and Axum are something of a mystery, still, as well. They may yet surprise us.

Ichibei's prime mentioned to that Axum's resource relates to healing in some sort of way, perhaps physical methods?

Then only one mystery yet remains.

Yes, and perhaps we can settle that mystery in the morning.

An excursion to Ching Shih, is it?

Astra has mentioned that she is eager to visit.

I won't say no to a change of scenery.

In the morning then. Once we have seen personally to Axum and Ching Shih, I'll be able to take a break and allow for the others to explore the territories more often.
